Alabama DeSoto State Park and the surrounding area have a stunning array of opportunities for outdoor recreation, most of it suitable for intermediate-level users. Surprised? So were we. Kentucky General Butler State Resort Park offers hiking and mountain biking and boating and golf, but it’s also a great place to enjoy doing little or nothing. Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park are most well known for hiking and rock climbing and they’re worthy destination for both of those activities. But there’s much more to do and lots of resources to help you have fun. Tennessee Montgomery Bell State Park is a nice distraction if you’re in the Nashville area and want to swap your cowboy boots for bicycle shoes.
